The Blog
I started this blog as basically a place to write. There’s not really much more to it, to be honest. Sometimes there’ll be pictures, or lists. Maybe even numbers. The topics don’t follow much of a pattern, but that’s more of a reason to check back, isn’t it? My blog “is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get”. (That is from Forrest Gump. No copyright infringement intended.) I hope you enjoy it! Comments and subscriptions are more than welcome :-)
The Writer
So, this is the little page that you go to when you’re wondering “who on earth writes this?”. Or maybe you already know me (maybe even in real life), and you just want to see what I say about myself. Or maybe it’s both. I don’t know how that would work, but still.
Anyway, my name is Mary. I’m 17 years old and I love writing, naturally, and owls and the ocean. I also love books, Sailor Moon, Adventure Time, Star Trek, Joss Whedon, the colour purple, cherry blossoms, Japanese culture, names, mythology, and lots of other things. I’m a vegetarian, too.
If you want to contact me about anything then you can e-mail me at kahoblossom(at)gmail(dot)com.
I’m reluctant to post a “real” photo of myself, so here’s a self-portrait I drew:
Ooh, nice blog! (I found yours from the comment on mine…)
“I also accept commissions”… hilarious! Beautiful photo, beautiful blog!
Thank you, Thomas! And if you want a sketchy, five-year-old-could-do-better drawing of anything, let me know.
I have a question: where did you get the shelves of books illustration for your background?
I got it from a lovely lady named ereseigh on a website called Colour Lovers, where people create seamless backgrounds (such as the one on this blog). This pattern in specific is called L-Space Library. Basically, I saw it and really liked it, so I asked ereseigh if I could use it for my blog. She said yes, so I did and here we are! Here’s a link to the pattern’s page on Colour Lovers, if you’re interested: http://www.colourlovers.com/pattern/2822256/L-Space_Library. You can get to ereseigh’s patterns from there, too. She does loads of gorgeous ones.
Thanks so much!
No problem :-)
